SimOcean – Sea Creatures

These animations were intended for a mobile version of ‘SimOcean.’

I created the models and textures from provided concept art.

After rigging and animating each creature, their movements were rendered to sprite sheets.

Some of the animation in the videos above looks a little strange as scene translation was handled programatically, and the project was cancelled before smooth spline pathing could be implemented.

The creatures moved through the scene at different screen depths, making some of them seem out of scale, with no terrain to reference.
